Wherever we turn there are sexual laden images of
strangers tossed into our face. We
didn’t ask for naked people to be popped in front of our eyeballs
twenty-four seven, but it happens anyway. Internet advertisements
continually bombard us with banner images of scantily clad women in
their bathing suits or underwear but were not at the beach, we’re
sitting in front of our computer ready to go to work!
You’re driving your children to school and huge
billboards display sexual innuendos and women lay across the whole board
with their cleavages tossed down your children’s throat. They may
picture that one image in their mind all day because for a child
observing something like that is amazing.
You pick your children up from school and you’re
standing in line at the checkout stand and every single magazine talks
about the latest sexual scandals going on in celebrity society. Your
children are standing there reading about how so and so had sex with so
and so, and now are getting a divorce. Plus that image of the almost
naked woman is still vivid in their mind.
Your fifteen-year old son comes home from school
and gets online to chat with his friends and more scantily dressed women
are parading their bodies on popular home pages. Young celebrity girls
barely have any clothes on but everyone loves them and they are so
popular. Your little fourteen-year old daughter wants to be just like
her, and dress like her too.
Bored with the scantily dressed women flung in
front of their face every single day, because they are becoming
desensitized to almost nude bodies, your children decide to turn on the
television. Low and behold,
every single comedy show, with the exception of, Everybody Loves
Raymond, is about sexual immorality and the characters talk about
going after your sexual desires even if that means being unfaithful to
your spouse or boy/girl friend, but your kids keep watching it because
it is so funny! It is funny watching married people commit adultery.
Teenagers and young men and women are constantly
exposed to the pressures of having sex and are even told to experiment
sexually with many different partners before getting married. Parents
enable their children to have sex before marriage by putting their
daughters on the pill. Schools enable sex before marriage by having
condoms sold in vending machines in the school hallways! If you don’t
have sex by the time your sixteen, you begin to think you’re not
normal!
There are men and women lusting after the flesh of
strangers more now than ever before and it is only going to get worse.
Adultery and divorce are pandemic in America.
The world is already filled with light porn images and sexual innuendoes
wherever you turn. Your children are growing up seeing these light porn
images. When they are married will they be able to stand the temptations
of society or will they cave in under the pressure and commit adultery?
Will having sex with their spouse be enough to keep their desires
burning or will they need to do some perverting on the side?
“For everything in the world – the cravings of
sinful man, the lust of the eyes and the boasting of what he has and
does – comes not form the Father but from the world. The world and its
desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives
forever”. (1 John 2:16-17)
There are more perverts roaming the streets now
than ever before – I don’t even want to get into that. Teenage girls
are getting pregnant at younger and younger ages and at alarming rates.
Let’s sexually desensitize the people and that will turn this country
into Sodom and Gomorrah. It’s an agenda folks. Sex sells!
The agenda starts in school. Boys are brought up to
think they deserve to have sex before marriage. Girls have
low-self images and believe it is ok to behave and dress as sexual
objects, which only explodes the sexual drive of men. The only way to
get attention from the boys is to dress scantily and behave as wanting.
The respectful girls who dress modestly and behave with virtue never get
talked to - the boys are afraid to talk to them.
In school boys and girls are disrespecting one
another – they don’t think they are, but sex outside of marriage is
disrespectful. It is disrespecting the body of another person that you
have no right to have and it is disrespecting them on an emotional level
as well. Dating almost always ends in hurt because someone gets dumped.
Where is the respect for one another in this
culture? We first must respect ourselves and that means respecting our
bodies enough to stay sexually pure until marriage. God wants us to save
our bodies for marriage but this culture has gotten too carried away
with the dating scene and it has confused the true and proper roles that
God meant for men and women to partake in. They are caving in under the
sexual pressures of society.
“May
your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer – may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be captivated by her love. Why be captivated, my son, by an
adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another man’s wife”? (Proverbs
5:18-20)
Society has made their bed and now most people are
sleeping in it, oblivious that anything at all is really wrong. To the
naked eye, no pun intended, it all seems normal. But there is a lot
wrong! Let me tell you why. Anytime we are bombarded with sexual
perversion and lustful thoughts and porn images it lessens the value
and importance of marriage and it lessens the value and worth of a
person as being a beautiful child of God created for His purpose.
People have no entitlement or justification to
disrespect and degrade one another in these ways, and yet no one thinks
they are disrespecting another person because they are disrespecting
themselves!
“Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue
righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the
Lord out of a pure heart”. (II Timothy 2:22)
